At the banquet, my CEO husband publicly humiliated me for his mistress. I made one call: ‘Terminate the CEO. Seize my estate and repossess the cars.’ His family laughed at me, then 30 minutes later…

PART 2

Below, the sudden disruption was instant and brutal.

The heavy mahogany doors of the main ballroom were pushed open.

Ten tall men in dark tactical suits,

flanked by Arthur Vance the lead general counsel of the trust and four uniformed federal marshals,

marched into the room.

The classical music stopped abruptly.

The crowd murmured in confusion as Arthur walked directly toward the stage, unrolling a sealed blue legal folder.

Flynn’s arrogant smile froze on the podium. “Arthur? What is the meaning of this intrusion?

This is a private corporate gala!”

Arthur didn’t even blink. He adjusted his glasses and spoke into the microphone, his voice amplified across the entire ballroom:

“Flynn Vance. By order of the majority shareholder holding eighty percent of Vance Global Enterprises,

your executive contract is terminated effective immediately for severe breach of fiduciary duty,

corporate embezzlement, and fraud.”

A collective gasp echoed through the room.

“What?!” Fiona shrieked from the crowd, her face turning pale.

“Are you insane? My son is the CEO! Who authorized this?”

“I did,” Arthur replied coldly.

“Under Article Seven of the founding charter,

Mabel Vance the sole beneficiary of the Sterling Trust has exercised her legal authority to strip Mr. Vance of all executive powers.”

Flynn’s glass shattered on the stage floor.

He scrambled down the steps, his face flushed with rage.

“Mabel?! That useless woman is sitting at home crying! She doesn’t own this company! I built this empire!”

“You built nothing,” Arthur said, pulling out a tablet and tapping the screen.

“At this exact moment,

all your corporate accounts, credit cards, and executive access have been revoked.

Furthermore, private security is currently taking possession of the Greenwich estate,

which is legally titled under Mabel’s trust,

and repossessing the three corporate supercars registered to the firm.”

Right on cue, Flynn’s smartphone buzzed violently on his hip.

Then Selina’s phone buzzed. Then Fiona’s.

Flynn pulled out his phone. A bank notification flashed across his screen: ACCOUNT FROZEN.

Selina let out a sharp scream as her phone displayed a notification from her private bank

CREDIT LINE REVOKED BY CORPORATE GUARANTOR

The $200,000 credit line Flynn had quietly issued her through a company vendor had been terminated.

“Flynn!” Selina shrieked, grabbing his arm frantically.

“My cards just declined! What is happening?!”

Fiona stumbled backward, clutching her chest.

“My house! They’re locking the gates of the Greenwich house?! Flynn, do something!”

Flynn’s hands trembled uncontrollably as he tried to dial his CFO,

but a mechanical automated message answered

Your device has been remote-wiped and disconnected from the corporate network.

Up in the mezzanine, I slowly stood up, smoothing down the front of my silk dress,

and walked down the grand marble staircase into the ballroom.

The crowd parted instantly as I stepped into the bright lights.

Flynn whipped around, staring at me as if he were looking at a terrifying ghost.

The wine stain was still visible on my dress, but there was no longer any trace of the meek,

quiet wife he had spent a decade stepping on.

“Mabel…” Flynn gasped, his voice cracking. “You… you’re the majority shareholder?”

“I always was, Flynn,” I said softly, stopping a few feet away from him.

“My father founded Vance Global. I gave you the CEO title because I loved you,

and I let you play the brilliant businessman because I wanted you to feel proud.

But you mistook my love for helplessness.”

Fiona rushed forward, her previous arrogance completely gone,

her face twisted in desperate panic.

“Mabel! Honey! We’re family! You can’t do this to Flynn! He made a mistake, he was just stressed”

“Step back, Fiona,” I said, my voice razor-sharp.

“You spent six years calling me a leech in my own house while living off the allowance I quietly authorized for you.”

I turned my eyes to Selina, who was trying to shrink into the background behind Flynn.

“And you,” I smiled thinly.

“The dress you’re wearing, the luxury apartment in SoHo,

and the ‘consulting firm’ Flynn set up for you were all funded through forged vendor invoices drawn from my family’s trust.

The District Attorney’s office received the forensic audit twenty minutes ago.”

Selina went deathly white, her knees giving out as she collapsed onto the marble floor.
